I’m not the best cook in the world. Hell I used to burn water. Lately I have been getting more confident in my cooking abilities. Last weekend I made the fried green tomatoes and hush puppies, and 2 weekends before that I successfully made Chicken Parmesan.  So, my fears of burning down the house has been conquered and my faith in myself have been restored.

Green Tomatoes are just not ripe tomatoes. My boyfriend thought they were a different breed from the red tomato, at which I laughed in his face. Apparently all Hush puppies are is just deep fried cornmeal. Who woulda thunk it?

Yet again, I am proud of myself. So I blogged about it. Yay !!

I know that I am … I think. The problem with normality is that no one truly knows what normal is. Being normal has to be specified to a person based on their personality. Everyone cannot be normal. If everyone was normal, we’d all be the same and that wouldn’t be munch fun.

Anyways … I ask this because of what I’m doing right now. Going to college is normal … ok I get that. Looking for a job is normal too. Wanting to be like Martha Stewart or a Stepford wife … is that normal?

I am currently living with my fiancee and I just want to be and do everything that a hose wife would have done in the 1940′s. I want to sew, embroider, make pies, have dinner ready when he comes home from work, you know … the usual.

I feel like this is what i should be doing. I don’t know if it’s because of my personality or if it’s because we’re finally living together. I have no idea what’s  on.

I have became more confident in my cooking abilities. I used to burn water. Yup, that’s right, BURN WATER. Now, I don’t. Lately I have mastered Hamburgers. Yeah, I know it’s easy to make but going from burning water to  making some yummy hamburgers, you’d be proud too.

On mother’s day I actually surprised myself … and no, I am not a mother (I wish I was tho). I made dinner for Grandma, aunt, fiancee and myself. It was GOOD !! I didn’t realize that water takes over an hour to boil though. I did realize that 2 handfuls of spaghetti from me wasn’t near enough to feed 4 people, but chicken is filling so it worked out.

Instructions are so:

- boil water in pot for Spaghetti, add noodles when water boiling

- Preheat Oven to 450

- Gather thawed chicken (breast or tenderloins is fine… I used tenderloins) wash and put on cutting board and cut into chunks.

- Gather flour, salt, pepper on shallow plate.

- Combine 2 eggs with 1 table spoon water in a wide bowl, beat until frothy.

- Heat 3 tablespoons of olive oil over medium high heat in large skillet

- lightly dredge both sides of chicken cutlets in seasoned flour and then dip them in the egg wash to coat completely (or vice versa).

- add cutlets to oil when it’s hot.

- fry for 4 minutes on each side until golden brown

- drain water from pot with cooked noodles, put noodles in  an oven safe container

- add tomato sauce to noodles, then the chicken chunks. Mix in together.

- Top with Mozzarella or Parmesan cheese

- place in oven for 15 minutes or until cheese is bubbly (ours only took 10 minutes).

- Enjoy

… p.s. Clean up is NOT fun…

Worth it though especially if someone close to you is not going to be here anymore in a few months.

If you buy an always or Tampax product (pads or tampons). The movie ticket covers $12, so if your local movie theater charges more than that you just have to pay the difference. Say it’s $14, so you give them the ticket n then give them $2. Now you can proudly go see your movie knowing that you saved some money in the process… especially in this economy.

Now that we’re on the topic of movies, I am going to see Iron Man 2 tomorrow ! I can’t wait ! I hope it’s really good. I absolutely loved the first one. Plus, Robert Downey Jr is hot.

Over the summer I plan to see the following:

Twilight Saga: Eclipse – This is going to be the most action packed one. So girls, bring your brothers and boyfriends. They’ll like it.

The Last Airbender – I’m a huge fan of the series. I know that M. Night Shyamalan’s kids are also fans of the series, so lets hope that he didn’t mess up the plot too much.

The Sorcerer’s  Apprentice – I’m pretty much just interested in this movie because of Nicholas Cage.

Inception – ELLEN PAGE !!! Oh, did I mention that it’s suppose to be a mind fuck starring Leonardo DiCaprio as well ?

Harry Potter – WHO THE FUCK DOES NOT LOVE THEM SOME HARRY POTTER ?!?!?!?! Seriously tho… who? Yeah I know its coming out in November but it’s prolly going to be the only movie I see during the school term.

I’m prolly not going to be able to see ALL of the movies, but that’s ok. I’ll see them all eventually.

I’m busy. The semester ends in about a month, so naturally, I am REALLY busy. If I don’t have homework to do, I got a house to tidy up, dishes to wash, a dog to walk, a boyfriend to please, and errands and whatnot to run.

However, all this does not stop me from having ideas. I like ideas – but these ideas are reoccurring and they wont seem to go away. For instance, my boyfriend’s god-daughter (the coolest girl EVER!) will be turning 11 in August. Let’s add the fact that she’s COMPLETELY obsessed with Harry Potter. Well … if you haven’t thought of it already, I’m going to not only write her a letter of acceptance to Hogwarts, I’m also going to make somethings that she’s going to need, such as a Gryffindor scarf (trust me, she is a Gryffindor) a golden snitch, and some other things hopefully such as the Marauder’s map and other such things. This is going to be a fun project. I’m going to make a list of all the ideas I have but I’ll need to watch through all the movies to make sure I got everything. I am seriously looking forward to this.

I have other ideas such as hosting a craft club because some of my friends expressed interest in crocheting (I brought it to school with me to work on in between classes) but I myself am not good enough. I think I’ll work on sharping my all around crafty skills during the summer. Having to work on the H.P. project is going to help me do that.

Right now I am working on a single crochet blanket. It’s not done yet and everyone keeps calling it a scarf. I get so angry because I want it to be a blanket. Having everyone call it a scarf makes me feel like I haven’t accomplished anything yet. I’m constantly working (or trying to make time to work) on it. I like having the feeling of accomplishment, and I intend to have that feeling in the next couple of weeks after the blanket is finished.

my secret obsession for awhile has been watching beauty gurus. It’s been an obsession because I am still unable to find someone with my eye color, skin type, hair color/ hair type. So I got to take things from different gurus and some gurus are just awesome ! I will explain why I like each guru that I watch and what I don’t like about them. They are not in any particular order:

1. Kandee Johnson -She seriously has to be the sweetest person on all of youtube. She’s so inspiring, beautiful, and creative. It’s really hard to not like her. Plus, she’s entertaining! What more could a person ask for ? Her blog is equally amazing as she is.

2. Xsparkage aka Leesha – the procrastinator of the gurus. She’s creative and knows her stuff … she just doesn’t seem into it anymore, like she used to be. I’ve been getting irritated by her lately b/c most of her recent looks have been a form of purple smoky eye. It’s been repetitive, and I’m not a purple fan, but her earlier stuff is awesome. I want that Leesha back !!

3. bubzbeauty – Possibly the cutest asian ever !! She is so sweet, nice, giving, talented, and wonderful. She’s defiantly one to keep eyes on due to her youtube success and she has her own fashion line, which is gorgeous.

4. Michelle Phan – the other talented asian girl on youtube. Michelle is an art student going to school in Tampa, FL. She has amazing advice and tutorials. She takes that extra step to make the videos compelling even for non-makeup people. Just watch the intro to the Tim Burton inspired Goth Look and you’ll see what I mean.

5. Blair and Elle Fowler – two sisters that have their own separate channels. They’re both rich, co-owners of  their own company, and has been in a fashion show at New York’s fashion week. It’s hard to tell if these girls are genuine or not, but i like to think they are. There’s speculation about whether or not they changed their names for youtube, but honestly… thats a smart thing to do and if they did, more power to them !

6. TalkinMakeup – a professional makeup artist that has been behind the MAC counter, the Clinique counter, and most of the other counters in department stores as well. She has a lot of great tips and advice. Her reviews are awesome!

7. vintageortacky – she loves color !! I mean the uber bright neon colors that normal people would be afraid of. She’s honest and quirky, especially on her reviews. She isn’t afraid to say how she feels and I like her for that. She’s very dramatic with the makeup, which rocks !!

8. MissChievous – She’s talented and pretty, and here to stay. Because of her success on yt, she is the spokesperson for Lancome Germany (yes, she speaks German and English). Her view of makeup is somewhat out of the box compared to the U.S gurus, which I like.

of not updating my site. Shame on me !! Shame, shame shame!!

Anyways … Since my last post, I have:

1. started spring semester of school
2. celebrated my birthday
3. been pretty damn bored.

lol. seriously !

The internet has been boring to me lately. It’s … i dunno … it’s just been un-entertaining. I think I may have outgrown the use of the internet.

Weather has been horrible. I hate the cold. Everyone I know has been getting sick.

I still dunno if I should make youtube videos. I think it’d be fun, but I’m still toying with the idea.

I’m gonna be getting a netbook soon and I’m soo excited about it. They’re so small and tiny … like me!!

There’s really nothing else for me to write about, but I’ll think of more things.

first off, I love youtube. Who doesn’t? It’s useful for everything from finding that one song that’s stuck in your head to solving a rubiks cube under 5 minutes! Youtube is awesome.

I’m particularly more into the Beauty/makeup community, due to the fact that I’m getting more and more into makeup. I’m honestly set on eye shadow and lip glosses probably for a few years … but anyways … Something has been bugging the shit out of me and I can’t take it anymore !!

How come they’re are not any girls on youtube that look like me? Seriously?!? I love certain looks and all but I’m not fully sure I can pull them off because I don’t look like the person that’s doing it.

Most of the girls (that do beauty tutorials) are either asian, latino, or white. But none of the white girls look like me. Most of them have blond hair and brown eyes, or brown hair n brown eyes, or blue eyes and blond hair.

I am proud to be a dark hair blue eyed girl. I really am. Looking for ppl that look like me on youtube is a very difficult task, and made me realize how unique I truly am (and not in the unique like everyone else way either!). I am honestly weighing the pros and cons of making beauty videos basically for myself. I know I’m not extremely attractive or whatever and tht’d prob cause a lot of negative comments, but whatever.

I think I will do it ! Obviously not giving out too much personal information or anything. I’ll post a video when I get back from Georgia and see how that goes and if I have requests to do more videos than I will. If not then, whatever.

I wonder what my boyfriend thinks about all this … He’ll prolly tell me to go for it and to ignore everyone else. whats the point in owning makeup if you can’t share your trial,errors, successes and failures with the rest of the world ?

I am busy !! I got to go over to my boyfriends house on christmas eve to do christmas over there. On christmas day, He’s coming over to my house to do christmas with my family (and christmas dinner too). The day after christmas we’re leaving for georgia to visit family !!

we’ll be back before New Years eve and Im spending that with my boyfriend. Im spending new years day with my friend Alicia, whom i never get to see anymore.

Jan 19th – first day of college n Jan 31st will be my 20th b-day !!

so … went to a party tonight. the deal was everything was free n all you had to do was donate a toy for toys for tots.

I didn’t realize how many people showed up empty handed until a little old lady started screaming at all of us about the lack of toys. I was one of the very very few that bought toys to donate. Hell, I bought 4. one for me, one for my boyfriend, one for my brother, n one for my friend but he’dalready bought a toy to donate. so in total they got 5 presents donated from 4 people. The really sad part was that we four also helped the toys for tots people carry the gifts, which was about 15 presents out of about 300 people. And people had the nerve to say ” wow that’s a lot of presents” no, it wasn’t. it was piss poor. I seriously wanted to cry.

the same little old lady started yelling again saying that the party cost ten thousand dollars n that there was less than 2 thousand in donations. about this time my boyfriend decided to go up there n give a speech. It was awesome !! He told everyone off and that the people that didn’t donate needed to leave. After he gave his speech the entire room was quiet for a whole minute and people actually started to leave. I love him for it !!

big party with lots of moochers, not my thing. I didn’t even want to go to this party but I did. I’m glad I did bc it made me realize I don’t want to go to or support moochers in any way. I’m done with parties from that particular person and his company. I’m so ashamed of the people involved and really disapointed in the community as a whole.

I’ve been on all the ends of the spectrum. I know what it’s like to recieve very few things for Christmas. I know how appreciative familes are when they do recieve presents, and I know how it feels when you donate to a great cause. It really is a warm fuzzy feeling. It kills me to see people not care about others, especially this time of year. I also know how it feels when no one cares. I’ve been through it all. I seriously want people to realize how they’re hurting their community.

some poor guy, whose a father is gonna have to bugularize a house just so he can have presents for his children. it’s sad and pathetic. I can’t stand this. It’s way too horrid.

I’m proud of my boyfriend for standing up for me and the little old woman. I love you baby !!

Please give something back to your community. A donation, a $1 toy from the dollar store, volunteer, anything you can do will be appreciated. I know it will. Plus, you get the warm fuzzy feeling – which is pricless.

The gist is that you have to answer four questions about the company/ product you’re talking about:

1. Did you receive the item for free or did you buy it?
2. Are you affiliated with the company in any way?
3. Is the company paying you to blog/vlog about the company or product ?
4. Is it your honest opinion or paid review ?

I suppose the main idea of changing the laws was so that the FTC would make more money every time a celebrity talks about a product or item without answering these questions. Unfortunately, the rest of us got dragged along with it.

My question is that how would the FTC know that you’re lying? It’s impossible to monitor all blogs and vlogs out there. I honestly think it’s a conspiracy just so the government can get money from Celebrities and the affiliated companies. It’s easier to monitor a small group of well known people than the entire population.

I think it’s all shady in my honest opinion and the government is very greedy. Just my thoughts.
